La Panciata is a family-owned and operated bakery located in Northfield, Vermont. We have been producing quality and delicious Italian-style bread since 1992 when original owners Glenn and Lori Loati brought their Italian roots to the Montpelier Farmers Market and began selling bread.
Since then, the company has grown tremendously through word of mouth, and the product itself has been the leading cause. The bread speaks for itself, with its delicious taste and quality ingredients, customers keep coming back for more. Once you have tried La Panciata bread, you will be hooked and ready to sample the broad range of flavors, textures, and styles that we have to offer.
In addition, original owners Glenn and Lori Loati stood out as integral members of the Vermont community, by donating to numerous local charities and giving back to the community as often as possible. They believed that healthy bodies make strong minds, and that stays true today with new owners Justin and Bonka Loati.
On January 1st, 2016 the couple purchased the bakery and continued to run the family-owned and operated the business as the second generation. They continue to run the business with the originality that Glenn and Lori Loati brought to life, while also adding life and individuality to their newly purchased bakery.
With recent life events, the COVID-19 Pandemic has taken a toll on many local businesses. However, Justin and Bonka Loati have found a way to operate La Panciata during these trying times by providing quality bread products to local stores and restaurants throughout the Vermont community.
